Subdivision 1.Establishment. The commissioner of health must establish a local and Tribal public health emergency preparedness and response grant program. Subd. 2.Funding formula; use.

(a)The commissioner must distribute funding for emergency preparedness and response activities to community health boards and Tribal public health departments based on a formula determined by the commissioner, in consultation with the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee.
(b)Grant proceeds must align with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's issued report: Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Capabilities: National Standards for State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Public Health. Subd. 3.Reporting.
