Subdivision 1.Generally. In addition to the powers and duties prescribed elsewhere in law and in section145A.05, a city council or county board that has formed or is a member of a community health board has the powers and duties prescribed in this section. Subd. 2.Levying taxes. In levying taxes authorized under section145A.08, subdivision 3, a city council or county board that has formed or is a member of a community health board must consider the income and expenditures required to meet local public health priorities established under section145A.04, subdivision 1a, clause (2), and statewide outcomes under section145A.04, subdivision 1a, clause (1).
