Subdivision 1.Public policy. The legislature of the state of Minnesota hereby declares that it is an important purpose and function of state government to preserve the people's appreciation of the heritage of the state and to promote and enrich their knowledge and understanding of the government and political tradition of the state; and that there is an urgent need to further these goals by: supporting research; developing resource materials and workshops for public and nonpublic high school students, university interns, and teachers; and utilizing the unique talents and experience of the members of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the state government. Subd. 2.Establishment.
