YOUTH EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 90 of 1978 409.117 Exemption; emancipated minor; duty of employer. Sec.

17.This act shall not apply to nor prohibit the employment of an emancipated minor, as defined by section 4 of Act No. 293 of the Public Acts of 1968, as amended, being section 722.4 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. An employer, before employing the minor, shall obtain and keep on file proof of the minor's emancipated status.
