GOVERNOR JOHN B. SWAINSON MICHIGAN HISTORICAL MARKERS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 10 of 1955 399.159 Administration of program; gifts, grants, bequests, and appropriations; transfer of money to fund; trademark or service mark provisions. Sec. 9.
(1)The department may accept gifts, grants, bequests, and appropriations for the purpose of administering the Michigan historical marker program, including, but not limited to, the manufacture and placement of an official Michigan historical marker, repair and maintenance of a marker, program administration, application reviews, marker restoration, marker recovery, tourism and education programs, and enforcement of this act. Money received under this subsection shall be forwarded to the state treasurer for deposit into the fund.
