§ 5 §18501 — Definition
Maine·Title 5 ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES AND SERVICES·Part 20 STATE RETIREMENT SYSTEM·Ch. 425 PARTICIPATING LOCAL DISTRICTS
As used in this article, unless the context otherwise indicates, "disabled" means mentally or physically incapacitated:
1.Permanent.
To the extent that it is impossible for a person to perform the duties of the person's employment position and the incapacity can be expected to be permanent; and
2.Revealed by examination.
Such that the incapacity will be revealed by medical examination or tests conducted in accordance with section 18503.
