Text

As used in this chapter, unless the context indicates otherwise, the following terms have the following meanings.

1.Board. "Board" means any authority, board, commission, committee, council and similar organization, including independent organizations, established or authorized by the Legislature to fulfill specific functions the members of which do not serve full time. "Board" does not include:
2.Expenses. "Expenses" means travel, meals or lodging costs or other necessary costs incurred by a member of a board in the performance of the member's duties as a member of that board. Noonday meal expenses incurred while in attendance at a board meeting or hearing must be considered a reimbursable expense, but may not exceed $5 per meal.
