Text
Orders to cease and desist for unlicensed persons are governed by this section.
1.Order.
If the administrator has reason to believe that a person has violated or is violating section 6087, the administrator may issue an order to show cause why an order to cease and desist should not be issued requiring that the person cease and desist from the violation.
2.Temporary restraining order.
In an emergency, the administrator may petition the Superior Court for the issuance of a temporary restraining order ex parte pursuant to the Maine Rules of Civil Procedure.
3.Effective date.
An order to cease and desist becomes effective upon its service upon the person.
4.Administrative proceeding.
An order to cease and desist remains effective and enforceable pending the completion of an administrative
