Text
A licensee who wants to retain licensure while not practicing may apply for an inactive status license. During inactive status, the licensee must renew the license and pay the renewal fee set by rule adopted by the director, but is not required to meet the continuing education requirements under section 18350. The board shall adopt rules by which an inactive status license may be reinstated.
An individual who practices under a resident dentist license or as a provisional dental therapist may not apply for inactive status.
