§ 192 — Enforcement of Secs. 186 to 195

Section 192. The department of public health shall enforce sections one hundred and eighty-six to one hundred and ninety-five, inclusive. Local boards of health shall enforce only sections one hundred and eighty-six to one hundred and ninety-five, inclusive, as they pertain to food. Said department, after a public hearing, shall adopt and promulgate rules and regulations consistent with said sections, and, except as to standards fixed by law, may adopt standards, tolerances and definitions of purity or quality or identity for articles of food, drugs or devices, and may adopt rules and regulations consistent with said section for cosmetics. Such standards, tolerances and definitions shall conform to the standards, tolerances and definitions, if any, of purity or quality or identity adopted
