§ 166 — Health facilities appeals board; establishment; function; members; appointment; qualifications; compensation; personnel

Section 166. There shall be within the executive office of health and human services a health facilities appeals board, hereinafter called the board, which shall make determinations on appeals filed pursuant to section twenty-five E of chapter one hundred and eleven. The board shall consist of five persons to be appointed for terms of three years by the governor, at least three of whom shall be consumers of health care services who are not officers or employees of, and do not bear any fiduciary relationship to a person or institution providing health care services. The legal representation of the personal interests of an individual engaged in health care shall not, for the purposes of this section, constitute a fiduciary relationship.
