Text

Any person engaged in the publication and circulation of a newspaper may issue bonds, notes, or other evidences of debt and secure them by the hypothecation of the plant and equipment of the newspaper and the name and good will of its business. The act of mortgage shall be made in the form provided by law for other acts of mortgage, shall have the same legal effects, and shall be recorded in the mortgage records of the parish in which the newspaper is published. The foreclosure and sale of the property shall be made as is provided by law for the foreclosure and sale of mortgaged immovables.
