§307. Controlled-access areas; commercial activities A. Except to the extent authorized by law for expressway projects of the Louisiana expressway authority or any other toll road or turnpike project, and except as provided by this Section, no automotive service station or other commercial establishment for serving motor vehicle users shall be constructed or located within the right of way of, or on publicly-owned or publicly-leased land acquired or used for or in connection with a controlled-access facility. B.

(1)The secretary may permit the placement of vending machines and concession structures within or on any controlled-access facility or rest area. Such machines or concession structures shall be operated in accordance with applicable state and federal law.
