The Register of the State Land Office, when requested to do so by the governor, shall prepare from the records of the state land office and deliver to the district attorney of the parish wherein the lands are located, certified abstracts of such lands as may be designated by the governor, as swamp lands illegally and fraudulently entered by private persons or corporations and sold by the state. The abstracts shall show the particulars of each sale or entry, giving the date, price per acre, number of acres entered and sold with full description of the lands by township, range, section or fraction of sections.
