§1139.9. District as a political subdivision; power to incur debt and issue general bonds The ambulance service district is hereby declared to be a political subdivision of the state. For carrying out the purposes of the ambulance service district as provided in this Part, the district, pursuant to the provisions of the Louisiana Constitution of 1974, shall have the power to incur debt and issue general obligation bonds or revenue.
