§1135.6. Advanced emergency medical technicians In addition to the requirements of R.S. 40:1135.1, any hospital, ancillary medical facility, or ambulance service, whether public or private, may conduct a program utilizing any emergency medical services practitioner to supervise and direct the delivery of emergency medical care to the sick and injured at the scene of an emergency during transport to a hospital, while in the hospital emergency department, and until care responsibility is assumed by the regular hospital staff.
