§1656. Escalation clause Bid specifications may contemplate a fixed escalation or de-escalation in accordance with a recognized price index. Such index may include but not be limited to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, Consumer Price Index and Wholesale Price Index. Bids based on specifications which are subject to a recognized escalation index shall be legal and valid.
