Text

The domicile of said board shall be at Lafayette, Louisiana. The district herein created shall have the power to sue and be sued, through its board of commissioners, and service of process in any such suit against said district shall be made upon the chairman of the board, the vice-chairman or upon the secretary-treasurer, but this provision shall not constitute a waiver of the governmental immunity to which the district is entitled. The district shall have authority to incur debt, issue bonds and levy taxes for the retirement of same, under the provisions of Article XIV, Section 14, including but not by way of limitation, Paragraph (a) thereof, of the Constitution of Louisiana, and to levy special taxes under the provisions of Article X, Section 10 thereof, in accordance with the provisio
