§916. Qualifications of board members A.

(1)Each registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse member of the board shall possess all of the following qualifications:
(a)Is a citizen of the United States and has been a resident of Louisiana for at least one year immediately prior to appointment.
(b)Holds a current, unencumbered, unrestricted, Louisiana license to practice as a registered nurse.
(c)Has at least three years of experience in a field of nursing practice.
(d)Is actively engaged in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse at the time of appointment.
(2)In addition to the qualifications provided in Paragraph (1) of this Subsection, at least two registered nurse members of the board shall have a minimum of a bachelor of science degree in nursing. B.
