§ 36:507 — Department; purposes and functions

A.The secretary, or in his discretion a subordinate or subordinates appointed in writing by him, shall administer the programs of the state relating to and affecting aeronautics and aviation facilities within the state; the development and establishment of public mass transit, railroad, and water transportation systems; and other special transportation programs as may be directed by the secretary.
B.The secretary, or in his discretion a subordinate or subordinates appointed by him, shall administer the programs of the state relating to the establishment, design, construction, extension, improvement, repair, maintenance, and regulation of roads, highways, expressways, bridges, and matters pertaining thereto. The secretary or his designated subordinate shall develop, prepare, and finalize
