Text

Navigation districts created by the legislature shall be political corporations invested with all the powers, privileges, rights and immunities conferred by law upon other corporations of like character. They shall have authority to sue and to be sued, and to stand in judgment under their corporate name. All legal process shall be served upon the president, or in his absence upon the vice-president, and in the absence of both, upon the secretary, at the domicile of the district; and all suits or proceedings initiated by the district shall be brought in the corporate name through the president.
