§340.31. Samuel B. "Sammy" Nunez, Jr., Building Notwithstanding R.S. 42:267 or any other law to the contrary, the board of commissioners of the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District may name the administration/security building of the port located at 100 Port Boulevard in Chalmette in honor of Samuel B. "Sammy" Nunez, Jr., a living person who contributed to the growth and well-being of St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District; served as a state representative from St. Bernard Parish from 1964 through 1969; served as a state senator from 1969 through 1996 from St. Bernard Parish; and was inducted into the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame on January 30, 2010.
