§2563. Duties of officers and employees

A.The appointing authority shall report to the board within fifteen days following any appointment or employment in a position in the classified service, unless otherwise provided, the name of the appointee, the title and character of his office or employment and the date the employee commenced work in the position. The appointing authority also shall report the date of and official action in, or knowledge of, any separation, promotion, demotion, suspension, lay-off, reinstatement, or re-employment in the classified service.
B.An officer or employee of the municipality, parish, or fire protection district shall comply with, and aid in all proper ways in carrying out the provisions of this Part and the rules, regulations, and orders. All officers an
