§2476.6. Municipal fire and police civil service boards in certain municipalities; board secretary

A.Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 33:2476(L)(1), in any municipality having a population in excess of one hundred fifty thousand but not more than two hundred ten thousand persons, based on the latest federal decennial census, the board may fill the office of secretary for the municipal fire and police civil service board by employing on a full-time basis any person whom the board deems qualified. The secretary shall receive compensation and benefits within a salary range comparable to that established for classified personnel employed in similar administrative positions by the respective municipality.
