Text
A.The commission may contract with and receive grants from the federal government in carrying out the purposes for which the commission is created, including but not limited to the Act of Congress of October 15, 1966 (Public Law 89-665; Title 16 U.S.C.A. Sec. 470 et seq.).
B.The commission may acquire by lease, purchase or donation real or personal property classified by it as landmarks or historic objects, to include documents, manuscripts, records, maps and books, which properties shall be conveyed by the commission to appropriate state or local governmental agencies which shall operate, maintain and preserve such properties for public use, provided, however, that if such transfer to other state or local government agencies cannot be made, the commission shall have the power to operate
