§501. Speaker of the House of Representatives; speaker pro tempore The speaker of the House of Representatives and the speaker pro tempore of the House of Representatives shall be elected viva voce from among the membership of the house by the membership of the house in accordance with such rules of the House of Representatives governing the election of the speaker and speaker pro tempore as were in force at the adjournment of the immediately preceding regular session of the legislature.
