§198. Change of residence or change in address; inquiry by registrar; change of records

A.Whenever a registrar has reason to believe that a registrant has changed his residence within the parish or that a change has occurred in the registrant's mailing address within the parish, the registrar shall mail an address confirmation notice to the registrant as provided in R.S. 18:193 but shall not place the voter on the inactive list of voters.
B.The notice shall inform the voter that he must notify the registrar of his current address.
C.The registrar shall send the notice to the registrant's address shown on the registration records and to the address the registrar believes to be the registrant's new address. Upon return of the notice, signed by the registrant, the registrar shall enter an
