§108. Prior registration; surrender of notice of registration before new registration; change of place of registration
A.If the registrant's application indicates that the applicant previously registered as
a voter in any other parish, and if the previous notice of registration is available, then before
making a new registration the registrar shall require the applicant to surrender his previous
notice for cancellation. The registrar shall promptly notify the registrar of the parish in
which the applicant has registered previously, through the statewide voter registration
system, of the present registration. The other registrar shall verify the cancellation of the
voter's registration in the other parish; however, the cancellation shall not be made as long
as the registrant has the right
