Text

A. In addition to the authority granted to the Board of Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges by R.S. 17:1871(B) and 3351(A)(5) and in accordance with Article VII, Section 2.1(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana, the board may provide for the assessment of an academic excellence fee at each institution under its management and supervision effective for the Fall, 2003, academic session and thereafter. The fee shall be in addition to any other tuition or attendance fees and charges established by the board. B.

(1)The fee amount per student shall not exceed seven dollars and fifty cents per credit hour per academic session and shall not exceed ninety dollars per academic session.
(2)The fee shall not be a cost that is payable by the state on behalf of any student who is a recipient
