§3101. Declaration of purpose The maintenance and preservation of the normal educational process at the institutions of higher learning of the state of Louisiana and the ability of each individual student to pursue an education are essential to the welfare of the State of Louisiana. The purpose of this Chapter is to accord such processes and pursuits the fullest protection from interference and disruption. It is recognized that attendance by a student and employment of faculty, administrators and all other employees at an institution of higher learning are not compulsory as to individuals concerned. Their presence at the institution of higher learning is a privilege, not a right; it is optional and voluntary. Added by Acts 1969, No. 59, §1.
