Text

A. The provisions of this Part shall apply to an anatomical gift or amendment, revocation, or refusal to make an anatomical gift. B. Subject to the provisions of R.S. 17:2354.2, an anatomical gift of a body or part of the donor may be made during his life for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research, or education as provided in R.S. 17:2354 by any of the following:

(1)An adult donor.
(2)A minor donor, if he has been emancipated or authorized under state law to apply for a driver's license.
(3)An agent of the donor, unless the power of attorney for health care or other record prohibits it.
(4)A parent of the donor, if he is an unemancipated minor.
(5)The guardian of the donor.
