Text

Fines, forfeitures, costs, and penalties imposed in criminal prosecutions by the municipal court of the town of Ruston shall be paid into the general fund of the town of Ruston in cases where the prosecution is on behalf of the town, and into the general fund of the parish of Lincoln in cases where the prosecution is on behalf of the state or parish. Upon the recommendation of the district attorney and on the order of the district court serving the parish of Lincoln, the governing authority of the parish shall appropriate to the sheriff's salary fund any portion of these fines, forfeitures, costs, and penalties as may be designated in the order of the court.
