Text

All wartime military service for the United States government during World War II, not to exceed three years, whether rendered prior to or after the commencement of employment in the police department, shall be deemed to constitute and shall be credited as service as used in this Subpart. Provided, however, that with respect to the cities of Minden, Monroe, Natchitoches, Rayne, Shreveport, and Springhill and the pertinent municipalities within Jefferson Parish, only such wartime service as shall be rendered after the commencement of employment in the police department shall be deemed to constitute and be credited as service as used in this Subpart.
