§ 11:3385 — Persons employed after December 31, 1967; options

A.Any member employed after December 31, 1967, or any member employed before January 1, 1968, who elects to come under provisions of this Part which apply to members of the fire department employed after December 31, 1967, may elect to receive his benefit in a retirement allowance payable throughout life, or he may elect to receive the actuarial equivalent, at the date of retirement, of his retirement allowance in a reduced retirement allowance payable throughout life, with the provision that: Option 1.
