A.The annuity savings fund shall be a fund in which shall be accumulated contributions from the compensation of members to provide for their annuities. Contributions to and payments from the annuity savings fund shall be made as follows.
B.The parish treasurer, state auditor, state treasurer, or other disbursing authority of the state or any municipality or parish and the District Attorneys' Association shall make deductions from any payments or fees paid by him to any district attorney or assistant district attorney or employee of the District Attorneys' Association who elects to become a member as provided herein, from each and every payroll paid, an amount equal to seven percent of his earnable compensation.
