§1611. Prior service credit; determination

A.Any person who becomes a member of the system within the first two years of its operation and who was employed by the state of Louisiana, or a parish of the state or a municipality of any parish of the state of Louisiana or any political subdivision or corporation of the state of Louisiana, including corporations operated jointly by the state and the federal government at any time preceding the establishment of the system, or who was employed by the federal government in a legislative, judicial, quasi-judicial, or law enforcement capacity; shall be entitled to prior service credit for all state, city, parish or federal service rendered prior to August 1, 1956, provided that within the first year of his membership he file a detailed statement of
