§ 49-615 — Same; bonds or other security; requirements; exceptions

Kansas·Ch. 49 MINES AND MINING·Art. 6 SURFACE-MINING LAND CONSERVATION AND RECLAMATION
(a)A bond filed with the director by an operator pursuant to this act shall be in a form prescribed by the director, payable to the state of Kansas, and conditioned upon faithful performance by the operator of all requirements of this act and all rules and regulations adopted by the director pursuant to this act. The bond shall be signed by the operator as principal and by a corporate surety licensed to do business in Kansas as surety. In lieu of a bond, the operator may deposit cash, certificates of deposit or government securities with the director on the same conditions as prescribed by this section for filing of bonds.
