Text
As used in K.S.A. 47-1804 through 47-1808, and amendments thereto, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a)"Commissioner" means the animal health commissioner of the Kansas department of agriculture.
(b)"Livestock" means cattle, bison, swine, horses, sheep, goats, camelids and all creatures of the ratite family that are not indigenous to this state, including, but not limited to, ostriches, emus and rheas and domesticated deer.
(c)"Livestock dealer" means any person engaged in the business of buying or selling livestock in commerce, either on that person's own account or as the employee or agent of the seller or purchaser, or any person engaged in the business of buying or selling livestock in commerce on a commission basis and shall include any person who buys or sells livestock with
