Text

The secretary for children and families, subject to appropriations made for such purposes by the legislature, is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with and to make grants-in-aid to organizations or institutions engaging in charitable and benevolent activities, with the purpose of developing employment for persons with physical disabilities in Kansas, including adults with severe cerebral palsy. Contracts entered into by the secretary for children and families may provide for the purchase of land, including improved property, construction or alteration of improvements thereon, and the purchase or lease of equipment required for operation of facilities for the use of disabled persons.
