§ 39-1204 — Secretary not to exercise authority until funds available and standards satisfied; assumption of obligations by local authorities

Kansas·Ch. 39 MENTALLY ILL, INCAPACITATED AND DEPENDENT PERSONS; SOCIAL WELFARE·Art. 12 REHABILITATION PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND OTHER DISABILITIES
The secretary shall make no commitment nor enter into any agreement pursuant to exercising authority under this act until the secretary determines that sufficient funds are available to meet the state's share of the cost. The secretary shall not enter into any such agreement until the secretary determines that standards approved by the secretary have been satisfied. The secretary shall also receive assurance that the local community organizations applying for grants-in-aid have sufficient funds available to meet any obligations assumed under the agreement.
