Text

Any cemetery district organized under the provisions of K.S.A. 17-1330, 17-1330a, 17-1331 to 17-1334 and 17-1335, and acts amendatory thereof, and adjacent or contiguous to another cemetery district located in the same county, may be disorganized and annexed to such adjacent or contiguous district as hereinafter provided. Whenever a petition describing the territory of the district requesting disorganization and annexation, and signed by not less than fifty-one percent (51%) of the qualified electors of the district, as determined by an enumeration taken and verified for this purpose by some qualified elector of the district requesting annexation, is presented to the board of county commissioners of the county in which the cemetery districts lie, it shall be the duty of the board of county
