Text
(a)The district shall be supervised and managed
by a board of trustees, which consists of the following:
(1)The commissioner, or the commissioner's designee, who shall
serve as chair of the board.
(2)Four (4) members appointed by the governor, consisting of
one (1) elected official from each county that is served by the
system and through which the system passes, not more than two
(2)of whom may be from the same political party.
(b)Appointments to the board under subsection (a)(2) are for terms
of four (4) years, except that the initial term of the initial members shall
be one (1) year, two (2) years, three (3) years, and four (4) years, as
determined by the governor in connection with the appointment of each
such member. Each member appointed to the board under subsection
(a)(2):
