Text
If a petition is filed by the system under the
Interstate Commerce Act to discontinue rail passenger service, the
district may take the necessary action to acquire the system's passenger
and freight properties under sections 5(a)(12) and 5(a)(13) of this
chapter and, if necessary, exercise the power of eminent domain under
section 15 of this chapter.
