Any railroad corporations, lessee or assignee or receiver, or other person or corporation, running, controlling or operating, or that may hereafter construct, build, run, control or operate, any railroad into or through this state, shall, within forty-five

(45)days from the date of execution of any conveyance, lease, release or other contract affecting the right of way of any railroad hereafter constructed, record, or cause to be recorded, in the proper records in the recorder's office of the county wherein the lands are situate so conveyed, leased, released or constructed.
