§ 8-23-7-24 — Designated parts of state highway allowed to be either tollway or toll road

A designated part of a state highway may become a tollway under the jurisdiction of the department under section 22 of this chapter and another designated part of the same state highway may become a toll road project under the jurisdiction of the authority under section 23 of this chapter. If a tollway and a toll road are contiguous parts of the same state highway, the contract or lease entered into under section 23 of this chapter may provide for coordination in the operation and maintenance of the tollway and the toll road project, including joint toll collection facilities and agreement on an equitable division of tolls.
