Text

(a)As part of the state highway system, the department may lay out, construct, and maintain roadside parks and highways that connect a state highway with a state park, state forest reserve, state game preserve, or a state institution. A connecting highway constructed under this subsection shall be constructed in the same manner as a state highway.
(b)Before a roadside park or connecting highway described in subsection (a) may be constructed within the boundaries of a state institution, park, reserve or preserve, the board of trustees of the state institution, park, reserve, or preserve must adopt a resolution approving the construction.
(c)The department may cooperate with a county highway authority having jurisdiction over a county highway that connects a state park, state forest reser
