§ 8-23-17-31 — Federal assistance; noncompliance with chapter
An agency acquiring real property or
engaging in code enforcement activities with federal financial
assistance or acquiring real property reasonably anticipating that
federal funds might be used to reimburse the cost of construction or
other activity for which the real property is acquired and that is subject
to the requirements of the Federal Uniform Relocations Assistance and
Real Property Acquisitions Policies Act of 1970 (42 U.S.C. 4601-4655)
is not required to make relocation payments or provide relocation
assistance programs under this chapter, or to comply with any
procedures or rules under this chapter that are inconsistent with
applicable federal law or regulations if the agency complies with all
applicable federal law and regulations relating to relocation payments
and assistance
