§ 8-23-17-30 — Federal assistance; compliance with federal law
An agency acquiring real property or
engaging in code enforcement activities under a program under which
federal financial assistance is or will be available to pay the cost of the
program is authorized to enter into an agreement with the appropriate
federal agency under which the agency agrees to provide relocation
assistance services and payments as required or authorized under the
Uniform Relocation Assistance and Land Acquisition Policies Act of
1970 (42 U.S.C. 4601-4655) and to use available federal funds. The
agency using federal financial assistance may make contracts and
expenditures, and act, make rules, orders, and findings as necessary to
comply with the federal law and the related rules, regulations, and
interpretations promulgated by the appropriate federal agencies.
