6.
(a)This section applies only to an airport
authority established for a county having a consolidated city.
(b)The legislative body of the consolidated city and the governing
body of the airport authority may adopt substantially similar ordinances
providing that the fire department of the airport authority is
consolidated into the fire department of the consolidated city, and that
the fire department of the consolidated city shall provide fire protection
services for the airport authority. If ordinances are adopted under this
section, the consolidation shall take effect on the date agreed to by the
legislative body of the consolidated city and the governing body of the
airport authority in the ordinances.
