5.
(a)As used in this section, "hospital"
means a facility licensed under IC 16-21.
(b)The provisions of section 10 of this chapter relating to the
department's authority to issue certificates of approval for airport sites
apply to a landing site operated by a hospital or fire department only if
the hospital or fire department regularly receives or dispatches an
average of more than one (1) helicopter during seven (7) consecutive
days.
(c)The average number of helicopter flights under subsection (b)
shall be determined and reviewed on an annual basis.
